training approach

We train people who wish to practically apply M&E to their current context as well as those learners who wish to have a deeper theoretical understanding of M&E. With over 18 years experience providing facilitation and training in M&E, we have three strong beliefs:

  • We believe that if learners engage in enjoyable ways with their programme and its monitoring and evaluation, a useful and practical M&E system can be developed.

  • We believe that each learner should leave the training not with a large notebook, but with a head full of new and useful ideas.

  • We believe in directly applying monitoring and evaluation learning to the participant's current project. The concepts are immediately applied to the participant's specific work objectives, project or programme and not to a generic case study. Thus we actively encourage learners to leave the training with practical, useful information that can be immediately applied in their organisation.
The courses range from:
4 hours to 5 days, depending on time, needs, and budget

We train:

  • Beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels
  • Practitioners, field-based, or office-based staff
  • Non-governmental and community-based organisations, government, or private sector
Below we provide examples for a few of our many trainings that we have designed and conducted around the world.
